Sharing food is an important (but rarely talked about) relationship milestone. But one woman learned the hard way that some people just aren't ready to share their food...or discuss shareable food at all.

Danielle Betsy shared a hilarious exchange on Twitter on Thursday involving cheese plates and one person's fear of them as a concept. Danielle apparently had something in her Tinder bio relating to charcuterie plates, causing one man named Jan to ask, "what is that?"

Most of us know that charcuterie is a board of meats, cheeses, and other assorted snacks that you can eat with crackers, bread, or by shoveling all of the above right into your mouth. If you're in your 20s or 30s right now, chances are you've been to a party in the last few weeks that had one.

We may all be familiar with the concept of a charcuterie board, but giving Jan the benefit of the doubt (maybe he hadn't seen it spelled out before!), Danielle diplomatically explained "It's like a board full of meat and cheese and grapes that you have with wine." Seems solid to me.

But once it was explained to Jan, it seemed to scare him. He replied that he didn't think he was ready for "that." Not sure if that is sharing a charcuterie board? The concept of it existing? Unclear.

Either way, Danielle at least got some good content out of it. She shared it to Twitter with the caption "The boys in Germany are different..." and people instantly had a field day, with someone else even including their own online dating interaction regarding cheese on a board.

Apparently the lesson here is to mention charcuterie in your online dating profile? At the most, you'll find someone stoked to help you craft the perfect one, at the least, you'll have a seriously funny interaction.
