Woman blocks friend on all social media after she abandons her at the airport: ‘It’s not my fault’

A woman doesn’t understand why her friend Emma is no longer speaking to her.

She asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum to weigh in. Her friend Emma invited her on a trip to California. Emma’s friend Lena planned to host them.

Emma booked their tickets and traveled to the Reddit poster’s city so that they could fly to California together. Emma planned to fly back from the city as well.

“She told me her ticket back was a lot later in the day on the day we get back to the city,” the Reddit poster said. “I told her not to worry, she can stay with me and I’ll take her to the station.”

Lena hosted, chauffeured them around the city, gave them gifts and made sure they saw all the attractions on their itinerary. The trip was a success. But on the way back, Emma’s carry-on went missing.

“She said that she wanted to try and find it,” the Reddit poster said. “I didn’t see her past customs, so I left to meet my boyfriend who was picking us up and left without her.”

Eventually, the Reddit poster messaged Emma and told her to get to the train station on her own. Emma couldn’t believe the Reddit poster had left her. Emma reminded the Reddit poster of everything she and Lena did for her.

“She went on to say that if my luggage was taken, she would be with me as support: I said well it’s not my fault she lost her luggage,” the Reddit poster wrote.

Now, Emma has blocked her everywhere and is no longer speaking to her.

Redditors thought Emma was completely in the right here.

“You owe her an apology and if I were her, I would accept it but still choose to cut you out of my life,” a user wrote.

“You didn’t even bother to contact her to give her a chance to decide whether she wanted to keep looking or get a ride back,” another said.

“You couldn’t be bothered to wait slightly longer,” a person added.
