  • Prince William and Prince Harry are reportedly “relieved” that Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped down from the royal family.

  • William and Harry “didn’t leave on good terms by any means.”

  • Harry and Meghan will split their time between the UK and Canada now.

A week since Kate Middleton was said to be “in a panic” following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exit from the royal family, we now know where he and Prince William stand. According to People sources, their relationship seems to be doing better than expected, which is great to hear considering Kate and Meghan supposedly “couldn’t be further apart” at the moment.

William and Harry are currently in an ongoing feud that dates back to November 2018 when rumors about Kate and Meghan’s friendship were spreading faster than the secret you swore you wouldn’t tell anyone else. It was a tense time, and it definitely caused a rift in the brothers’ relationship. And after Harry and Meghan stepped down from their duties in January 2020, things seemed to get even worse. According to a new report, “They didn’t leave on good terms by any means,” which, yes, we definitely gathered that already. But other than that, the source added that “they are both relieved that it’s over.”

Obviously, that doesn’t mean William’s happy Harry left or Harry is ecstatic about having to move away in order for him and Meghan to escape all the harsh scrutiny, but it seems like they’re content with the decision. The “family friend” continued, “Perhaps [Meghan and Harry] didn’t think things through exactly as they could have, but they wanted to be happy. Who can blame them for that?”

Well, distance makes the heart grow fonder, time heals all wounds, etc., so hopefully, the move and time away from the spotlight will get this family back on track and spending the holidays together.
