William and Kate skip charity board meeting attended by Harry and Meghan

As whispers of a royal rift rumble on, Prince William and Kate Middleton just did something that does little to quieten the rumours.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge failed to appear at a board meeting of the Royal Foundation over the weekend – the charity they lead together with Prince Harry and Meghan.

In comparison, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex not attended the meeting, they also turned up for the staff part afterwards – leaving many wondering why Kate and Wills didn’t to turn up.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Not only were Harry and Meghan there, but they went to the staff Christmas party afterwards. It was a very jolly affair. It’s a shame that William and Catherine did not turn up.”

However, Kensington Palace argued that the royal couple were not expected at the meeting or party, because the session “was focused on programmes led by the Duke of Sussex.”

The news comes as a new report claims tension between Prince William and Prince Harry that has caused issues to build up before the “fab four”.

According to The Sun, the driving force between the frostiness between the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex is coming form their husbands.

Indeed, it’s claimed that Prince Harry has accused his brother of trying to “wreck his relationship” with Meghan after Wills reportedly voiced concerns about the former Suits star when the couple first started dating.

A source told the publication: “It’s my opinion that Harry feels he couldn’t protect his mother, so he’s going all out to protect his wife. This is his way of atoning.

“He will brook absolutely no criticism of Meghan – and he is so sensitive he often sees criticism or negativity where there isn’t any.”

And it’s even reported that the brother’s have been competing over palace appointments, with William unhappy about the fact Harry received the role of youth ambassador for the Commonwealth.

While Meghan allegedly felt like she was brushed off by Kate when she first tried to form a bond between the pair, causing her to stop trying altogether.
