The Wildest Ways to Give Haircuts

While you’re busy leaning back in your salon’s sink for a pre-cut washing, hairstylists around the world are leading a quiet revolution when it comes to the way they snip your ’do. The irregular methods of these true artists may not necessarily be making their way into mainstream salons, but they are offering alternative approaches — and more importantly, making for viral videos.

Two of the most recent cuts have accumulated tens of thousands of views for their uniqueness. And once you see the way this magician uses an electric razor, you’ll understand why.

The straight-edge cut is seriously satisfying and seemingly simple with the smooth movement of the stylist’s tool. But there are more questionable techniques out there.

In a German salon, one stylist experimented with quite the interesting approach, prepping a client’s hair for a cut by putting it into four ponytails on top of her head. Still, although the process looks worthy of failure, the result is actually amazing.

The impulsive approach of each stylist is key to how mesmerizing these really are, which is why many more have gained interest as well.

The lack of structure makes these all the more fun to watch, especially because they somehow work out in the end. Some stylists are even doing blindfolded haircuts, or using medieval tools like swords and fire on their client’s hair.

Yes, the videos are fun to watch, but we’re not sure if we’d really trust someone slashing at our hair. So if you’re looking for some easy DIY haircutting techniques, there’s some captivating inspiration for that too.
