After actual years of anticipation, Sex Education season four is finally on Netflix, while it also marks the end of the show as a whole. Thanks to the gap between series, you'd be forgiven for needing a bit of a recap of season three, including a reminder of why the students are no longer at Moordale Secondary.

As well as season four kicking off with Maeve on her gifted and talented English course in the US, and Jean looking after baby Joy, we also join the students at a whole different school environment: Cavendish College.

Yep, it's goodbye Moordale, and hello Cavendish in episode one. But why have Otis and Eric had to move schools? In season three, their original school was thrown into chaos by new headmistress Hope Haddon (played by none other than Jemima Kirke), who rebranded the school as Sparkside Academy.

Not only did she create a school uniform and a strict education code, but she also invited a number of investors to a school event in a bid to show off her 'new and improved' educational environment.

Only, er, the students sabotaged her plans, even locking her in a classroom, eventually leading to the investors pulling out and Moordale being forced to close.

Which explains why some of the students, including Ruby, Aimee, Cal and Jackson, are now at Cavendish College, while many of the other characters' absence is explained by saying they went to different schools. Aka, Olivia and Anwar "went to Taylor’s Secondary in Norbury".

Sex Education season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
