Why Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Still Haven't Set a Date For Their Family Wedding

From ELLE

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are inching along to their one-year marriage anniversary in September-and are about to hit the one-year anniversary of their whirlwind romance that started last June. But according to People, the Biebers haven't done much work on planning their formal wedding for family and friends. The two got married in a New York City courthouse but had always intended to have a religious ceremony for loved ones at a later date.

People was told by a source that Baldwin and Bieber have not given up on the idea of having that bigger wedding though; it's just Bieber's health right now is their main focus. “Hailey keeps supporting him. They will still have a wedding when they feel they are ready,” the source explained. “The most important thing for them is that Justin is mentally healthy.” Bieber has been seeking treatment for depression since February.

The therapy has been helping, People's source added. “It has changed the way he thinks,” the source said. “He is much more focused on taking one day at a time. It’s when he starts thinking too far ahead that he gets stressed out and feels pressure.”

Bieber and Baldwin originally wanted to have their second wedding in January, according to People, but the couple couldn't commit to a date for that month. Then they decided they'd do their wedding right before Bieber's March 1 birthday, on February 28 in Los Angeles, but then too many critical people couldn't come. The last outlets really reported on the Biebers' wedding plans, the two were thinking of having a destination wedding. At that point, they had already sent out three different save the date cards.

But since Bieber has been in treatment, the two have put the wedding on indefinite hold. People last reported in mid-March that Baldwin and Bieberweren't planning on setting a date anytime soon.

“They will still have a wedding eventually, but this is not their focus right now,” a source close to Bieber told People at the time. “They haven’t sent out any new save the dates. They will wait until Justin feels better and is excited about planning their wedding again.”
