There won't be any second big Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt reunion during the Oscars tonight, despite it being award season's biggest night. And that's all due to Aniston not attending the ceremony. The Morning Show actress has no reason to: She isn't nominated for any projects (the Academy Awards just recognizes achievement in film, not television), and she wasn't tapped to present at the ceremony.

Her ex-husband Pitt, of course, is nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There is a chance the two could run into each other later in the night, should Aniston and Pitt both attend the Vanity Fair Oscars after party or any of the other post-ceremony celebrations across Los Angeles.

Before Aniston even had her viral moment with Pitt at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, she spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the SAG awards red carpet about her thoughts on everyone's obsession with her and Pitt's public reunion. "It's hysterical," Aniston told the outlet. "But what else are they going to talk about?"

At the end of January, a source made it clear to People that Aniston isn't Pitt's secret girlfriend or anything, despite what people online may want to believe. Aniston "is not dating Brad," the source explicitly said. "They are friends and happy for each other. They want nothing but happiness for each other. She is happy to have Brad back in her life as a friend, but that’s it."
