The actress shared the news with her fans on Instagram

Jamie Lee Curtis has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Halloween actress shared her diagnosis with fans on Instagram, along with a snapshot of several positive tests.

And she didn’t mince words in the caption, reiterating what we’re all feeling about the virus, as she began, “F— COVID.”

“Sadly, this head cheerleader is not going to be at all the weekend festivities cheering on her friends and colleagues. Life on life's terms. I'm glad that there are all these home tests available so that I didn't go to the @americanfilminstitute lunch and spread my germs,” she explained, referencing the recent Golden Globes moment of her enthusiastically cheering on Everything Everywhere All at Once co-star Michelle Yeoh following her big win.

The diagnosis also comes at the most inopportune time, as Hollywood is right in the thick of a bustling award season, which means that Curtis will not be in attendance for many of the upcoming shows including Sunday’s Critics' Choice Awards, where she is nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

“I was SO looking forward to going to the @bafta tea and the @criticschoice awards as a nominee and member of a motley crew!” she explained.

However, she remained optimistic, adding that she would be watching and supporting all the nominees from home.

“I'm so proud of these people, and I look forward to cheering them on through my TV set. Stay safe out there people,” she added.

Curtis has been making her award show rounds, most recently appearing at the Golden Globes on Tuesday where she was also nominated for supporting actress.

Earlier this week, she even scored her first SAG Awards nomination since 1995’s True Lies.
