From Harper's BAZAAR

If you thought boots were only for the colder months, think again. The coolest style fashion girls know that boots are an all-year round staple for day or night. They may not work so well for the weekend warriors who are spending every summer by the beach, but for us urbanites, it's always the perfect weather for booties. Below, see the best trends to try now.

Animal Print

We like to think of animal prints as a neutral. They're the most ubiquitous prints on the fashion landscape. It's playful, a bit sexy, and it's a great base for mixing with your summer florals, whether your go-to is leopard or snakeskin.

Black

Just like a little black dress, or blazer, every woman should have a pair of black leather boots for summer and winter. The Chelsea boot is a classic, as is a lace-up boot if you're looking to inject a little edge into your look.

Western

There's been no bigger shoe trend over the last year than western-inspired boots-and the trend shows no signs of stopping yet. For summer, get experimental with cowboy boots in fun hues or color-blocking.

Tall

Last but certainly not least, a knee-high or over-the-knee boot can still be worn when the temperatures rise above 75 degrees, maybe just not too high. Tall boots are not for the wall flowers, they're a bold accessory to add to your summer look when you're ready to take the town. Try them with a flirty babydoll dress, or take a page out of Kate Moss's style playbook and pair them with a pair of denim cut offs.
