Netflix's hit series Cheer is back for a second series, and while you were binging the show for the second or even third time you might have spotted something odd going on with one of the show stars. Halfway through Cheer series 2, assistant coach Andy Cosferent disappears, seemingly leaving the show with absolutely no mention or explanation from any of the other cast members. So, what happened to assistant coach Andy?

Andy has always been a pretty major part of the Netflix show and the Navarro cheer team. Having cheered for the Monica years before, he became her right hand and confidante, assistant her in coaching the squad.

However after the 2019/20 season was cancelled due to covid, Andy was nowhere to be seen when the team returned for the 2020/21 season, with former cheerleader Kailee Peppers taking over coaching of the squad while Monica Aldama was on Dancing With The Stars.

Not only is Andy suddenly not part of the show, but his absence isn't explained by Monica or the rest of the cast, leading fans to wonder if something happened to cause his departure.

Although we never really seem to get to the bottom of the whole thing - whether there was a disagreement or not - it seems as though Andy has started his own business, so there may be nothing sinister about it after all.

According to his Instagram Andy is currently running a new business venture called Cheer Source All Star, "a new large-scale, multi-sport and entertainment experience."

Plus by the looks of his Instagram he and Monica are still communicating and tagging each other in posts, so there can't have been a huge fallout, right?!

You can watch Cheer on Netflix now.
