Whoopi Goldberg schools Roseanne Barr on 'The View' over fake photo she retweeted

Following Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, who was a senior adviser to former President Barack Obama, her hit sitcom was canceled.

But her tweets didn’t stop following the cancellation, with one involving a doctored image of The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg. On Wednesday, Goldberg showed a picture of herself in the real T-shirt she wore to the 2017 Women’s March, explaining, “Some bonehead Photoshopped a horrific image on the shirt, and she retweeted this.”

Goldberg responded perfectly to being dragged into this mess. She said, “Just because you were caught with your pants down, don’t try to drag other people down with you. … There are times when, yeah, you got to suck it up ’cause you stepped in doo.” The 62-year-old continued by validating her point even further. “The bottom line is simply this: I didn’t fake my shirt, someone else faked my shirt. But that’s your tweet. That tweet came from you. You did this to yourself.”

Meghan McCain, the resident conservative voice on The View, came to Goldberg’s defense, bashing Barr. “This is not about being a conservative, OK. This is about you being a racist, and that’s what happened.”
