Whether you were watching the three-guys-in-a-booth broadcast of Monday Night Football last night, or the absolute delight of a Manning brothers romp on ESPN2, you were treated to a surprise during the commercials.

That's right, lovers and haters of Tom Brady: A new trailer for Man in the Arena: Tom Brady, ESPN's ultimate sendup of a sports-doc to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, a la The Last Dance. The preview, unfortunately, is commercial-sized at 30 seconds long. But it teases interviews with Michael Strahan and Brady's wife, Gisele Bündchen. Plus, we catch a couple glimpses of a baby Brady, teasing that the documentary, which is directed by Gotham Chopra, will chart his childhood. We even get Brady saying that he "didn't know where New England was. For some more context, here's how ESPN described the docuseries when it was announced:

After 21 seasons in the NFL, Tom Brady will share a personal first-hand account of his ten Super Bowl appearances. In a groundbreaking new series coming to ESPN+, Tom deconstructs the milestones of his legendary career, mining the psychological and emotional terrain of each victory and defeat. Each episode focuses on a single Super Bowl appearance and centers not just on the pivotal moments, but everything that leads to them, illustrating the series of small steps that seem insignificant at the time, but when reflected upon, show the distance traveled.

Of course, TB12's career is, apparently, far from over. Maybe we'll just keep getting new Man in the Arena episodes in real time, a la Hard Knocks. Check out the trailer below, in advance of the documentary's November release.
