While the show’s premiere season was filmed in Austin, Texas, the latest installment takes place in the Southeast. Here’s what you need to know about filming location, including when production took place there.

As a refresher, the show—hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey—centers on couples who aren’t aligned about their future. One person wants to get married while the other isn’t so sure. When the partner who wants to get married issues an ultimatum, the fun begins. Each couple agrees to split up and enter a “trial marriage” with a different person from another couple on the show. Over a few weeks, they experience married life before reuniting with their original partner for another “trial marriage.” After this experiment, each person has to decide if they want to marry their original partner, end that relationship, or continue their life journey with their trial partner.
Where Was The Ultimatum Season 2 Filmed?
The new season takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina. All of the couples on the show hail from either North or South Carolina, according to Tudum. When the show was in production, cast members were spotted at various places throughout the city. A cocktail bar called Billy Sunday located in the Optimist Hall food court is among the featured locations, according to Axios Charlotte. One couple was also seen arguing outside of the since-closed restaurant Hot Taco in the South End neighborhood.
When Was The Ultimatum Season 2 Filmed?
If you’re curious about when season two was filmed, you’re not alone. Production took place from September 2022 to November 2022. The reunion episode drops on August 30. That episode will not air live and was filmed in the summer of 2023, according to Bustle.
