Netflix's Love Is Blind is coming back for a second season, almost two whole years after series one aired - and the second instalment is almost here!

The "three-week experiment" reality dating show had us truly gripped when it first launched back in February 2020. We watched, glued to the screen in shock and awe, as men and women looking for love got to know each other through speed dating-esque pods. Before meeting in person, they then had to decide if they wanted to get married. Yep, no biggie.

While the show premiered this February 2020, fans were surprised to discover that it was actually filmed over a year prior to airing. In an interview with Refinery 29, contestant Damian Powers revealed the show finished filming on 15 November 2018. Which means the couples kept their relationships a secret for a staggering 14 months before the show came to Netflix.

Now, it's been over three. Whole. Years. since the couples met. And if these guys can meet, fall in love and get married in just three weeks, just imagine what might have happened in all the time since?

So, with Love Is Blind season two officially dropping on 11th February 2022, let's take a look back at what the original Love Is Blind contestants have been doing since the show originally aired in 2020. And which Love Is Blind couples are still together?

Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton

If there was one couple we were sure would stick together until the end, it was Lauren and Cameron. And despite some worries before the wedding, with Lauren admitting, "I feel like I won’t decide until the words actually come out of my mouth," the two became Mr & Mrs Hamilton.

"I’ve been looking for Cameron for thirty years - apparently, he was looking for me, too. I’m glad we finally found each other," said Lauren after their wedding.

Now, Lauren and Cameron are officially still going strong. They're still married and share plenty of updates about their life together on social media - hanging out with each other's families and running their YouTube channel, Hanging With The Hamiltons.

Celebrating their three-year wedding anniversary in November 2021, the pair shared a very loved-up video montage and even hinted towards starting a family, with Lauren writing on Instagram, "A love story I could have only dreamed of… not perfect but perfect for me! ❤️ Cheers to 3 years of Love, marriage and happiness 😘💍❤️ Us against the world forever 👩🏾❤️👨🏻 Happy anniversary baby! #BonnieAndClydeMinusTheShootup now let’s have some babiessssss 😜."

Work-wise, Lauren has ben busy building on her career as a content creator to become an entrepreneur, author and TV personality. Meanwhile, Cameron is continuing his career as an AI scientist, as his Instagram bio firmly states: "Yes, I’m still a scientist too."

Amber Pike and Matt Barnett

Amber and Matt are the second couple still married from Love Is Blind, and they've got *all* the cute Instagram selfies to prove it. (Exhibit A, above).

Despite some initial competition, Amber and Matt's relationship went on to be one of the most honest and successful of the series, with the two getting married in the final episode.

"Considering where I was in life before I came into this experience, I would never have guessed I’d be in a wedding gown right now, with a ring on my finger, and whole new last name. I wouldn’t have believed it!" said Amber.

Matt *may* have been branded a f**kboy at the start of the series and he *may* have not answered Amber’s calls on the morning of his wedding day, *but* the popular contestant stayed true to his word and eventually married Amber. He also delivered one of the sweetest speeches of the finale. "I can’t imagine a life without you," he told her at the altar.

In the end, their relationship certainly seemed like one of the most genuine and real on the show. Since then, the pair look to have been busy travelling the world together, and they seem happier than ever.

Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers

Giannina Gibelli quickly became a fan favourite thanks to her free spirited personality and endless confidence. The one person who perhaps didn’t agree, though? Her husband-to-be Damian, who didn't go through with their marriage in the finale.

Aside from giving us an epic runaway bride situation in the final episode, complete with muddied white wedding dress, she also gave us enough straight-talking one liners to demand her own Netflix reality show. "I don’t regret anything. I’m mourning. But from the ashes comes a Phoenix," she said after the jilting. Perhaps her mum put it best though, when she exclaimed, "Everything is s**t."

Despite not actually getting married on the show, Giannina and Damian actually did get back together.

Giannina told E!Online in March 2020, "After everything went down, I reached out to him [Damian] because I just wanted to see where we stand."

The pair appeared to be on and off for a while. However, following the Love Is Blind reunion show After the Altar in July 2021 (to which Damian brought brought Too Hot To Handle's Francesca Farago),it was revealed that the two had officially split.

Kelly Chase and Kenny Barnes

Things didn’t look good for Kelly and Kenny’s burgeoning romance when, on the morning of their wedding, Kelly confessed, "I don’t know if I’m 100% in love with him… that love that I had for my ex-boyfriend, I don’t have that crazy infatuation for that man."

They also hadn’t had sex yet, for that same reason. So it wasn’t a surprise when Kelly decided not to marry Kenny, saying at the ceremony, "I can’t marry you, and I hope you can respect that decision of mine."

She added afterwards, "My feelings for him were not as intense as his were for me."

Since the show, these two have stayed separate. Kelly is continuing in her career as an entrepreneur and podcast host, working as a health and empowerment coach, delivering wellness advice on Instagram and helping women to "love their bodies, career, and relationships." She's also been seen hanging out with other Love Is Blind cast members, including Damian.

Relationship-wise, Kelly said in a January 2022 Instagram post that her dreams for the New Year included, "have a boyfriend, best friend, companion," so here's hoping we see Kelly in a new partnership soon.

As for Kenny, post-ceremony he made it clear he didn't want to speak about his and Kelly’s future. "We’re not getting married, and I don’t know if we’re going to maintain a relationship, and quite honestly it doesn’t matter either way," he said before asking the producers to stop filming.

During the After The Altar reunion show, Kenny revealed that he was engaged to new partner Alexandra. The pair have been going strong since, with Kenny revealing on 6th January 2022 that there were just 125 days to go until their wedding. Exciting!

Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas

If being on Love Is Blind wasn't enough to make headlines, Jessica Batten also got everyone talking when she shared a glass of red wine with her golden retriever Payton.

Though this wasn’t a red flag for her fiancé, who said "I do" at the altar. Unfortunately, the feeling wasn't mutual and Mark was met with an "I cannot" from Jessica. She then made this sensible declaration to her potential husband, who she had reservations about since meeting face-to-face: "I don’t think either one of us is ready to take us on."

Jessica added, "For some people, love is blind, but for me, it’s not."

Since the show, the Atlanta-based regional manager has revealed her biggest regret since filming - and it doesn't involve turning Mark down. "I definitely have never done that before; I won’t do that again," she told Entertainment Weekly in reference to the much-talked about doggy wine drinking debacle.

Last time we saw Mark during Love Is Blind, he was being comforted by his adorable mum with the words "we’ll cry together" after being left at the altar by Jessica. Reflecting on the experience, he said, "Even though Jessica and I did not get married, I strongly believe love is blind."

Since the show, Jessica has been in a new relationship with surgeon Benjamin McGrath, with the pair making things Instagram official in July 2020. They're still going strong, with Jessica recently celebrating her "best friend's" birthday in a sweet January 2022 Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Mark is loved up with new fiancée Aubrey Rainey. The pair welcomed their first child together, son Ace, in April 2021. Just months later, in October 2021, the pair announced that they were expecting their second child together, due March 2022.

Back in March 2020, Mark responded to rumours that he had a secret girlfriend while filming Love Is Blind, setting the record straight by revealing that he didn't date his new partner until after the show. The pair split before the Netflix series came out, with Mark later going on to meet Aubrey.

New season, we're ready.
