For the last month, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have sparked rumors they may be reconciling. Reports claimed they have been privately working to repair their relationship and that West wanted Kardashian back. Last week, the two were seen in New York City together as Kardashian prepared for and hosted Saturday Night Live. So what's their divorce status now? Entertainment Tonight got an update from a source, and the proceedings are still continuing. West and Kardashian's marriage is still over for now.

A source explained, “Kanye and Kim are moving forward with the divorce, even though recent signs have pointed to a reconciliation. Kim and Kanye are in a very good place, but they aren’t getting back together.”

That source explained why West gave Kardashian their $60 million Hidden Hills, California home. It was partly for their four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm and partly for Kardashian due to his own feelings for her. “Kanye agreed to give Kim the house because it’s close to her family, and they didn’t want to uproot the kids from their routine,” the source said. “Kanye has told friends he’d give Kim whatever she wants, as he loves her and knows he’ll be fine financially. The two have had a very amicable divorce and remain very close.”

E! got an update yesterday on Kardashian and West's relationship now, following the SNL appearance. A source described them as “in a good place.”

“She is grateful for his help and that they have come to a happy place,” the source said of how Kardashian sees their relationship. “They have been respectful of each other's wishes and established a good friendship. It's working well for now and Kim is very appreciative. She wants to keep things going in this direction.”
