She has found common ground with Tarek’s ex Christina Hall.
In November 2022, El Moussa opened up about co-parenting with her husband Tarek and his ex-wife Christina Hall on the Today show. She revealed that, of course, there have been ups and downs—including how there have been times when she felt like she was second to Hall. El Moussa explained: “No one ever made me feel that way, but I think when your significant other has such a long relationship with the previous spouse and a lot of love—and it was a very public divorce and you're coming into it—you fall in love with each other, but you always kind of think of the ex. For me, I did.”
Ultimately, they’ve all found common ground knowing that the kids, Taylor and Brayden, come first. In 2020, Hall also spoke on the topic of her relationship with El Moussa, noting that they’ve connected about other things like healthy eating. “We’ll, like, text each other random recipes right now during isolation,” Hall told Us Weekly in April 2020. “She’ll send me whatever her favorite go-to granola bar is, and I’ll text her back whatever mine is.”

El Moussa was Playboy magazine's Miss February in 2010 and has posed for the magazine several times, including nude shots. In an interview with Playboy in May of 2020, she reflected on her time as a Playmate. “If I hadn’t posed for Playboy, I wouldn’t have met the people who led me to where I am now,” she said, noting that “Playboy got me used to being in front of crowds and being good on camera.”
She’s a former pilates instructor.
El Moussa revealed on Instagram that she used to teach pilates. “It was such a fun time of my life as fitness and health are passions of mine,” she wrote, adding that she enjoyed helping clients push through boundaries and work to change their lives.

Throughout Selling Sunset, El Moussa often opts for vegan food. She’s enjoyed plant-based living and cooking for quite some time now. “Fun fact about me is that I’ve actually been vegan since I was 22 years old and never looked back since,” she shared in an Instagram post. “Eating plant-based is a choice I made a while ago because it honestly makes me feel so much healthier and it’s something that’s really worked for me plus I care about animals so it all aligns.”
She has two dogs.
El Moussa has an adorable brown pooch that she rescued from Bunny's Buddies, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from slaughterhouses, shelters, and dog meat farms in China and South Korea. Her newer pup, Bugzy, is a cute black pug who she introduced into her family in 2021.
She owns a white Ferrari.
For her 32nd birthday, Tarek bought her a Ferrari. Casual! When sharing the news on Instagram, she said, “On our first date he asked me what my dream car was...... I said a white Ferarri.”

According to IMBD, El Moussa made a guest appearance as Tina in “The Baby” episode of the comedy TV series Til Death. She's also starred on her fiance's show Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa. Now, Heather and Tarek have their own HGTV show called The Flipping El Moussas.

El Moussa used to co-host a podcast called Flashbacks with radio personality Jessica Hall, who you may recognize from E! network's original reality show Kendra. Scroll through El Moussa's Instagram and you may notice her unique tattoo collection on her wrist, which includes a small paw print, a musical note, and a number. However, according to her Twitter, she had at least 14 unwanted tattoos removed. Although we're unsure which tattoos were removed, she notes, “think before u get big color tattoos.”
She had a long-distance boyfriend when she met Tarek.
In season one of Selling Sunset, you may recall that El Moussa was dating a hockey player named Nick Ebert. At the time, he had been scouted to play in Sweden, followed by Slovakia, making the relationship extremely difficult to maintain. (She was flying back and forth to see him.) When Heather first met Tarek on July 4, 2019, she was still dating Ebert, however, they broke it off shortly thereafter.
