What Not to Ask Gabrielle Union During An Interview
Deep down, Gabrielle Union is a California sweetheart—just don’t ask her how big her engagement ring is. (She married Miami Heat baller Dwyane Wade in 2014, and has the bling to show for it.) Or so we found out when we sat down with the actress—who costarred in Chris Rock’s Top Five and currently stars in BET’s Being Mary Jane (the new season premieres February 3)—for a no-holds-barred Yahoo search of her name. Among the top results? Her infamous Bring It On cheer and a recent YouTube meme: Union video-bombing Wade in a post-game interview. “I think he found it amusing, maybe [he was] a little baffled,” she says.
As for her early appearances on Saved By The Bell: The New Class alongside current tabloid fixture Dustin Diamond aka Screech, she had nothing seamy to reveal. “I played Mistletoe Girl #2…” Union tells Yahoo Style correspondent Nick Axelrod, clarifying: “I didn’t see that Screech; I saw a…different side of Screech.” Watch the video above to see her priceless reactions.
