The wait is nearly over, and your mornings are about to become a whole lot tastier! Wendy’s breakfast menu will be available across the country in March 2020.

The menu features breakfast sandwiches, including the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich and Breakfast Baconator, which will have fresh, hand-cracked eggs. To wash it all down, there’s a Frosty-ccino, a combination of cold-brew coffee and either chocolate or vanilla Frosty cream. Now no one will ever be able to tell you that a Frosty isn’t a breakfast food!

“People deserve a delicious, affordable, and higher quality breakfast than what they’re currently getting, so that’s exactly what we’re going to serve when Wendy’s launches breakfast nationally on March 2,” Kurt Kane, president, U.S. and chief commercial officer of The Wendy’s Company, said in a press release.

In honor of the official announcement, Wendy’s has taken to Twitter to start what they dub a “Breakfast Battle” with McDonald’s. In addition, the Wendy’s account will become a “morning person” by releasing surprise guests and exclusive sneak peeks at peak morning hours leading up to the menu launch. Who knew a breakfast sandwich could be exciting?

Most people don’t consider a Wendy’s Frosty a breakfast food, but that’s about to change with the brand-new morning menu.

As detailed on Business Insider, the fast food chain is set to release a nationwide breakfast menu in 2020. There will be three menu items:

  • Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich: fried chicken and whipped honey butter on a biscuit

  • Breakfast Baconator: an egg, six strips of Applewood smoked bacon, a breakfast sausage patty, two slices of American cheese, and Swiss cheese hollandaise sauce on a bun

  • Frosty-ccino: cold-brew coffee mixed with either chocolate or vanilla Frosty cream

This isn’t the first time Wendy’s has tried a breakfast menu, but getting into the space has proven to be difficult. The new breakfast menu is currently being tested out in 300 markets and will soon make its way nationwide.

“Launching breakfast in our U.S. restaurants nationwide provides incredible growth opportunities,” Todd Penegor, Wendy’s CEO, said in a statement. “We are well-positioned to pursue it. We believe we have the right team and structure in place, and we put Wendy’s fan favorites on our breakfast menu to set us apart from the competition.”
