Meet Mollie Hello to all my new SMP friends! My name is Mollie and I'm the founder of my namesake lifestyle website, Mollie Moore. Before starting my blog, I worked in corporate retail for a major US department store. I found the job to be lacking the creativity I longed for, and so Mollie Moore was born. While I started out with a focus on fashion, I've since expanded into a range of topics, including travel, fitness, and now wedding planning! I'm so excited to be joining the Style Me Pretty Blogger Bride tribe and to share all the fun details of our wedding planning process with you!
The Proposal My fiancé Connor proposed on Thanksgiving while we were in Cape Cod with his family. If you know me, then you know that 1. Thanksgiving is my ALL TIME favorite holiday (nothing but good food, good people, and good football), and 2. Cape Cod is where Connor and I went on our first vacation together as a couple, so it's always held a really special place in both our hearts. So now that you know those two things, you can see why his proposal was so perfect for us. After spending the weekend in Cape Cod celebrating with family, we continued our celebrations in Nantucket just the two of us. It was an absolutely amazing few days, and now I have even more reason to love Thanksgiving!
Our Wedding Vision Connor and I live in New York City, and although I'm from the Midwest, we both knew we wanted to plan an East Coast wedding. I'm an only child, and Connor is the oldest of 3, so we are the first in our families to be getting married. I honestly had no idea where to start, but I had a strong vision of what I was looking for. We really wanted our wedding to feel intimate and romantic, with lots of greenery and rustic elements. After a stressful search process, we finally found the perfect place to say "I do" in Brooklyn.
