This Week's Best Dressed Celebrities Went All-Out in Bold Patterns
Flowers, polka dots and animals, oh my!
Though minimalism is still enjoying something of a heyday, fear not, those of you who love a bold pattern: Many of the best-dressed celebrities this week are refusing to ride the less-is-more wave, instead opting for adventurous, striking looks on the red carpet.
In lieu of the ever-popular leopard print, Olivia Wilde opted to have entire leopards sprawled across her green, collared dress from Hermes's Pre-Fall 2019 collection. Gina Rodriguez and Brittany Snow both went the floral route, with Rodriguez in a black Oscar de la Renta gown covered in bright red flowers and Snow in a black Michael Mason jumpsuit with accents of gold blooms. Brie Larson and Kyanna Simone Simpson both looked pretty in pink, but while Simpson went all-over in a bright Balenciaga dress, Larson elected for a pop of the hue in an otherwise cerulean blue Rodarte gown.
And though some celebrities went for more subtle (and mostly black) ensembles, they were anything but boring. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wore monochromatic numbers from their Elizabeth and James collection (with Mary-Kate giving us a splash of color in the form of red Manolo Blahnik kitten heels), while Gemma Chan wore a off-the-shoulder dress from Monse.
