Weeks After Ariana's Wedding, Frankie Grande Is Now Engaged

Frankie Grande is officially engaged to Hale Leon, his boyfriend of two years, just a couple weeks after sister Ariana Grande married Dalton Gomez.

As reported by People on June 8, Frankie and Hale got engaged in Los Angeles, around friends and family – including Frankie and Ariana Grande's mom, Joan Grande. Frankie popped the question with an “elaborate VR proposal” that included “intergalactic virtual fireworks” at Los Angeles’ Dreamscape – reportedly a venue where the pair shared “one of their most memorable first dates.” 

To plan the surprise event, Frankie told Hale they were meeting up with some friends and family to celebrate the fourth anniversary of his sobriety. "It was such a perfect, beautiful moment. Hale was completely surprised and we both started crying tears of joy,” Frankie told People. “I have been working on proposing to him in virtual reality for over a year and it was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking for us both. I can't wait for everyone to see the video! Omg! We are so happy!" To tie in with the engagement news, the pair also shared a photo session with Todd Danforth. 

Frankie and Hale met in 2019 and recently celebrated their second anniversary as a couple. “Babe, if we can survive quarantine... we can survive anything! Happy 2 year anniversary my love. Looking forward to so many more laughs and smiles and costumes and hopefully no more haircuts! I love you with all my heart!” Frankie posted to Instagram on March 28 alongside a photo set looking back at their time together. The couple also later celebrated the occasion with an intimate trip to Palm Springs. “Belatedly Celebrating our 2 year anniversary in Palm Springs. It’s so romantic to travel alone with the man I love... I’ve missed it!” Frankie posted on April 18, alongside a pic of the two sharing a smooch mid-trek.
