From Cosmopolitan

You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: Your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries-Pisces, plus one general card for everyone, so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: QUEEN OF CUPS

Your intuitive abilities are firing on all cylinders this week. Maybe it’s the festive vibes around you, bringing your emotions and feelings up to a heightened level. Don’t waste this extra psychic energy! The Queen of Cups reassures you that your hunches and gut feelings are spot on, and you should pay attention to what they’re nudging you to do (or not to do). Make time for daydreaming, meditating, and brainstorming. The ideas and insights you receive will be valuable and useful in the year to come.

ARIES: THE EMPRESS

NBD but you’ve been marked for L-O-V-E by the Universe this week, Aries! The Empress is a magical card about romance, true love, and tenderness. So, focus your efforts and energy on the relationships which matter the most to you (or maybe the one you’d like to get into). Trust me: any invites you extend (whether it’s a *wiggles eyebrows* DM or an actual invite to your holiday party) will be met enthusiastically, so go all in here!

TAURUS: PAGE OF COINS

Some interesting news is headed your way. And the Page of Coins is hand-delivering this message, which means it’s related to your material world (money, home, career, possessions). An opportunity is setting itself up here, and the first stage of it is now open for business…do you want to get involved? If so, do so. If not, say no nicely and move on.

GEMINI: THE WORLD

It’s time to celebrate, Gemmy, so go get your glam on and invest your energy into putting together something special for the people who’ve helped and supported you in 2019. The World is all about savoring the moment, recognizing your successes and making sure they’ve been celebrated. Look back at 2019 and identify the milestones, achievements, and people you want to give a round of applause to (in your own and others’ lives) and set the scene to make that happen.

CANCER: THE DEVIL

Cancer, please don’t be your own worst enemy rn. The Devil is a powerful reminder that we’re both 100 percent free to do what we like *and* to pay the price for it. Recognize where there is temptation in your life this week, and commit to resisting it, breaking the pattern and smashing the cycle. Bonus: You’ll feel amaze for doing so, free and in control.

LEO: SIX OF SWORDS

Endings don’t have to be sad or make you feel bad. There’s something you can draw a line under this week, which has been a long time coming and is now ready for a final farewell. Consciously identify what you’re going to let go of, and perform some kind of ritual to make sure you feel you’ve done that. The space left behind will soon be filled with new opportunity and energy. This is a good thing, Leo, trust me!

VIRGO: SIX OF CUPS

Admit it: You were the kind of kid who had a *stacked* after-school schedule. The Six of Cups asks you to dig out your old albums and stroll back to hang with your childhood self this week. What topics, sports, hobbies, games, and activities were you a natural at? What absorbed you? What did you most enjoy? Something wholesome, fun, and fulfilling. It wants to make a comeback in your world now, so look to reinstate an old interest. It’s worthwhile. Even if it was Skip-It.

LIBRA: SEVEN OF WANDS

Competition can go either way with you, Libra. It can either make you rise to the challenge and dig out a performance you didn’t know you had in you—or make you combative and difficult, and make you want to run away. Deep breaths, because the Seven of Wands is nudging you towards the former.

SCORPIO: FOUR OF COINS

We all have a tendency to want to hibernate at this time of year; it’s so cold and dark, it feels like we should just stay home, ya know? Well, no, actually. The Four of Coins is a wake-up call to you, Scorpy, and it’s asking you to push yourself a little bit harder to go out-out and mingle. Say yes to everything which comes your way, and don’t slink off home too early either. There is opportunity in the air, but you’ve got to be out and about in order to receive it.

SAGITTARIUS: NINE OF CUPS

Beautiful vibes all around you this week, Sag, in the shape of the wish-fulfilling Nine of Cups. All you need to do is to make a few overt moves in the direction of a heartfelt desire (be that a person, a goal or an opportunity you spot). The Universe has got a free wish-come-true card with your name on it, which you can spend any time over the next seven days—invest it wisely.

CAPRICORN: NINE OF SWORDS

No one is harder on themselves than a Cap! So, please take a load off this week and chill. The Nine of Swords hints you’ve been getting all riled up about something, or someone, and bottling up your feelings to the point they’re about ready to explode. All over everyone. Relax, distract yourself, talk this through with someone you trust. It’s all gotten out of proportion, and it’s time to hit reset.

AQUARIUS: KING OF SWORDS

Aquarians love to problem solve, to wrestle with logic, to rationalize the irrational. This is a good thing, because the King of Swords is going to present a few thorny, intellectual problems for you to address in the week ahead. Nothing scary or negative…just complicated. Approach this with an objective eye, ready to unravel the mess and construct a logical resolution. Admit it: This is your idea of fun.

PISCES: EIGHT OF WANDS

People love you, Pisces, and this week, it will feel like every single one of your friends and fam has some news, invites, or opportunities for you. The Eight of Wands is all about communication, and hints that you’ll be bombarded with gossip, interesting offers, and new ideas this week. Brace yourself to be ready to react quickly because you’ll want to get involved with all of it.
