A Weekend to Remember
Over the weekend of July 8 and 9, the Parrish Art Museum held its annual Midsummer Dance and Dinner, marking one of the most anticipated weekends of the season on Long Island's East End. On Friday night, the annual Midsummer Dance, co-chaired by Larry Milstein and Destinee Ross-Sutton, gathered guests to the museum to enjoy light bites and dancing to music care of Oscar Nñ, a founder of Papi Juice, as well as décor by Frank Alexander.
Saturday night's festivities—co-chaired by Deborah F. Bancroft, Preston T. Phillips, and George Wells—honored Racquel Chevremont and Mickalene Thomas (who've curated the current Parrish exhibition "Set It Off"), Miyoung Lee, and Jasper Johns, who is currently the subject of a show at the museum. Cocktails and remarks from notables, including the Parrish's new director Dr. Mónica Ramírez-Montagut, were followed by dinner and a live auction.
