These Wear-On-Repeat Boots Are All I Care About Right Now

Let's talk about boots. I’ve been scrolling away, looking for this year’s version of the pair I can always fall back on, whatever the outfit or occasion. While my day-to-day plans aren't quite the same as they were last fall, I'm definitely still on the move (did I mention I have a one-and-a-half year old?), and I need a pair to match both my new outdoor-centric social life and working-from-home-mom reality.

Let it be known that I've become even more particular when it comes to the brands I shop from, especially when it comes to essentials that will be in my wardrobe for years to come. I’ve long been a fan of SOREL for fashionable boots that don’t quit when it comes to function and comfort while still managing to look extremely elevated. (*Ahem* lug soles.) The brand’s latest collection has one clear winner for me, but I have a feeling you’ll be into some of these other fall favorites, too.

The Winner

SOREL Joan Uptown Lace Bootie ($240)

Allow me to introduce you to Joan. This SOREL style is a classic, but what’s really won me over is the chunky lug sole that, like every fashion editor, I've been very focused on this season. In addition to this touch of trend, I’m also here for that extra bit of height it gives me. I'd been searching for a boot I can wear with this fall-floral dress, and these fit the bill.

The Ones That Got Away

SOREL Phoenix Zip Boot ($170)

I love this patent-style rain boot—a look I've been spotting on fashion girls everywhere.

SOREL Joan Uptown Chelsea Bootie ($200)

A slip-on wedge-heel boot with a trekked sole? Yes, please.

SOREL Lennox Cozy Lace Boot ($200)

No editor’s wardrobe is complete without a moto-inspired pair (with a chunky sole, naturally).

SOREL Emelie Short Lace Cozy Boot ($170)

Similar to the pair above, with just a little less sole and the addition of some cozy shearling.

SOREL Emelie Conquest Boot ($160)

I imagine wearing this boot while dressed in a flowy, floral dress on a Sunday at the farmers market.

SOREL Cate Lace Bootie ($190)

Another lace-up option for the boot lovers in all of us. The sleek silhouette is optimal for more dressed-up outfits.

SOREL Emelie Tall Boot ($230)

Always here for an equestrian look.

SOREL Blake Bootie ($210)

If you're in the market for a boot with a tall chunky heel, I love this Blake bootie. The deep-chocolate color is on par with everything that's trending right now.

SOREL Harlow Chelsea Bootie ($140)

These easy slip-ons are perfect if you're looking for clean lines. This boot comes in multiple colors, but I love this sandy tan for a neutral option that will always remain a classic.
