Watch: Wichita State scores after Cincinnati defender heads ball through the rim

It’s March. Teams are desperate for wins. Anything goes, right?

Well, certainly No. 11 Wichita State will take all the help it can get as it looks to make another run to the Final Four. So with one of the biggest games of the season going down at Koch Arena against No. 10 Cincinnati, the Shockers were using both talent and luck to get gain an advantage.

This next highlight falls in the latter category and serves as another reminder to always box out.

Yes, that is a Cincinnati defender knocking a rebound back into the hoop with his own head. It might not get more demoralizing than that.

Specifically, that’s Bearcats guard Jarron Cumberland taking a ball off the noggin. The sophomore is currently averaging close to four rebounds and 11 points per game.

He may or may not have a future in soccer if basketball doesn’t work out.
