“There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable people,” Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, says of the Avengers, the foundational group of superheroes at the heart of the Marvel empire.

It’s fitting that the young people of the PAC Dance Team at Walden Grove High School in Sahuarita, Arizona, less than a year after their Harry Potter-themed routine went viral, opened their latest masterpiece, an Avengers-themed dance routine for the ages, by playing Fury’s quote.
Because even though it takes place in a high school gymnasium, the ambition and production value of everything from the sets to the makeup to the costumes feels more like that of professionals than teenagers. But it’s the dance skills of the students and the precision of their moves that’s truly impressive.
The seven-minute routine, performed as part of the school’s homecoming celebration, is set to a medley of popular songs interspersed with brief audio clips taken from the MCU. Thanos’s snap, traveling back in time, an epic battle, and Iron Man’s death are among the elements from the movies that the students faithfully recreated with choreography.
The video was posted to YouTube just three days ago, and it has already garnered nearly 500,000 views. And given that the routine is their third viral effort—a Wizard of Oz performance from 2017 was its first—the PAC dance team is throwing down the (infinity) gauntlet and staking its claim as the best (or at least most viral) high school dance team in the country.
