Another week, another new episode of Esquire's travel, booze, and interview series, "In Transit." In this week's edition, Dave Holmes is joined by one of the essential cast members on Stranger Things, Gaten Matarazzo. The pair enjoy drinks—Matarazzo's is a mocktail, of course)—and talk about their favorite things related to anything and everything Boston.

Before we get to what's going on in the great American city, you should know that, aside from on Stranger Things, you can find Matarazzo on the stage. Running from now until September 18, Matarazzo is starring in Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen, where he plays Hansen's friend, Jared Kleinman. If you're in the mood to cry your eyes out, I suggest seeing the show before it leaves Broadway next month. Matarazzo also has a new movie out on Paramount+, Honor Society, which sees enemies turn into something more, in a delightful romcom.

Back to the video. Holmes and Matarazzo talk about the latter's projects, air-conditioned jackets (!), his hope for directing in the future, and their shared love for Boston. Matarazzo explains that he has friends in the town, and when he visits them, people always flock to him, if you had any doubt. As for Holmes's recommendations this time around, he shares the best place to get your Sichuan fix, which you'll have to watch the episode to find out for yourself. Travel-wise, Holmes suggests staying in the rock n' roll-themed hotel, The Verb, located right across from Fenway Park. Booze-wise? Watch out got a certain tropical drink. That's all we'll say.
