Watch: P.K. Subban goes undercover to spread holiday cheer
From the outside looking in, P.K. Subban seems like the kind of guy who enjoys two things even more than hockey.
His brash celebrations and vibrant personality are clear indications of how high up ‘having fun’ ranks on Subban’s priority list. The notorious jokester has also made quite a name for himself as a philanthropist, constantly using his platform to help those less fortunate and making an especially-big impact in the two markets he’s called home in his NHL career — Montreal and Nashville.
Subban has a special connection to the Montreal Children’s Hospital in particular, donating a whopping $10 million in 2015 in what the hospital called “the biggest philanthropic commitment by a sports figure in Canadian history.” This season in Nashville, Subban and the Predators started an initiative called “Blueline Buddies,” which aims to bring underprivileged youth, low income families and law enforcement together by connecting them through hockey.
In his latest joy-yielding adventure, Subban disguised himself as a 75-year-old named Eddie and hit the streets undercover to spread all kinds of holiday cheer in both Nashville and his old stomping ground of Montreal.
