Big news: ITV have announced they've acquired the rights to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's big Oprah Winfrey interview, and will air it next week.

As well as announcing the happy news that they are expecting their second child, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have also confirmed a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, coming next week. But how can you watch it if you're in the UK?

In a press release announced on 3rd March, ITV confirmed:

"ITV announced today OPRAH WITH MEGHAN AND HARRY, featuring Oprah Winfrey as she sits down with Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, for an intimate conversation to air Monday, 8 March at 9pm on ITV.

"Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure. Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family."

It's been a big month for Meghan and Harry (when isn't it?) The pair revealed Archie was going to be a big brother with a gorgeous pregnancy photoshoot, before it was announced on 15 February that predominantly Meghan, but also Harry, would be partaking in a primetime special chat with Oprah on 7 March.

CBS said in a statement issued to royal expert Omid Scobie: "[Oprah] Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.

"Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family."

While Buckingham Palace have since responded to the Oprah x Meghan and Harry interview, many UK-based fans have been left wondering whether they'll be able to tune into the exclusive chat.

As mentioned, the interview (which has already been filmed) will run on CBS on 7th March, before dropping on ITV a day later on the evening of the 8th March.

The programme will air on CBS from 8pm Eastern Time on Sunday 7th March - which is 1am on Monday 8th March in the United Kingdom. Understandably, that time different probably doesn't feel so appealing.

The good news is, you'll only have to wait 19 or so hours until it drops on UK television. Kevin Lygo, ITV Managing Director Media & Entertainment, said of the show: "This interview is already a national talking point and ITV is pleased to be able to offer UK audiences the opportunity to see it."

In the past, 60 Minutes interviews have also uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel within 24 hours of airing.
