  • Jessica needed to do the COVID-19 tests to get back to work acting.

  • She disliked getting tested, but said she did it for the safety of everyone on set.

Actress Jessica Chastain posted a new video to her Instagram account showing herself being tested for COVID-19 over the course of four weeks as she prepares to go back to work on a movie set.

"Alright, gotta get back to work, so guess who needs to get checked?" she said in the video during week one. Her father, a trained paramedic, administered her first LetsGetChecked home test. "Oh my god. Oh I already hate it, wait, one second," she said, before taking a deep breath as her father stuck the Q-tip further up her nose.

During the second week of testing, Jessica's assistant Arianna administers the COVID-19 test, and it doesn't go any better. "I hate every part of this," Jessica says. “That was too much. I’m crying, that hurt. It was like, in my eyeball."

On week three, she does the test herself, seals it up in an envelope, and only sheds a few tears. "I'm a pro now," she captioned that one. The fourth week, she went to a drive-through testing center.

Was it pleasant? No, judging by Jessica's reactions, but she said she was happy to get tested for the safety of those around her on set. "Happy to get back to work! Ill shove a Qtip up my nose to my brain any day to ensure everyone’s on-set safety. I hate this but I love them more," she wrote in the caption.

In the middle of March, production on Jessica's latest movie, The Forgiven, was paused in Morocco, per Deadline. Also starring Ralph Fiennes, the thriller follows a couple who hit a boy with their car on the way to a party at a luxurious Moroccan villa in the desert, and the consequences of the accident.

It's unclear whether that's the film she'll be working on, but either way, it's great she's taking precautions to protect the entire crew.
