Watch Jennifer Hudson’s Emotional Reaction to Her EGOT Win

In case you missed this truly major moment, Jennifer Hudson officially became an EGOT winner at the Tony Awards on Sunday night when A Strange Loop took home Best Musical—and she just shared her emotional reaction to finding out the news. In a video posted to her Instagram account, Jennifer can be seen toasting her friends and saying, “As I said when I won the Oscar, look what God can do.”

She echoed this sentiment in her Insta caption, saying, “Wow!!! I am overwhelmed by all the outpouring of love and support that I am Still receiving and I’m still processing this whole new ground. What an honor! Thank u all for being with me on this journey. I could not live this life without u. Like I said when I won my Oscar, look what God can do. Well He did it again !”

Per BBC, Jennifer is the 17th person to become an EGOT winner, and the second Black woman to earn this huge achievement. Before taking home her Tony, she won an Emmy for Baby Yaga, two Grammy Awards for The Color Purple cast album and her self-titled debut, as well as an Oscar for Dreamgirls.

Prior to winning the Emmy and Tony, Jennifer spoke with People about eventually becoming an EGOT winner, joking, “I should get two more dogs. I got a dog and named it Oscar, and then I won my Oscar. And then I got a dog and named it Grammy, and then I won my Grammy. So I think I should get some dogs and name them Emmy and Tony—and it’ll give me good luck, and I’ll win. [They’re] like my good luck charms.”
