  • Jenna Dewan, 39, showed off her toned abs in new Instagram Stories dance videos.

  • Her nine-month-old son, Callum, even made an appearance at one point.

  • Besides dance, Jenna stays fit through strength training, Pilates, and cardio yoga.

Legwarmers, stiletto heels, dancing in the garage...Jenna Dewan just shared the most 2020 dance workout ever. On Instagram Stories, the Step Up star, 39, posted a video to her Instagram Stories from what looks like her home dance studio, showing off her toned abs in a beige crop top-leggings set. The Soundtrack alum went all out learning choreographer Jonte Moaning's "Find Your Way Back" routine "that I loooove." Then, when her and fiancé Steve Kazee's nine-month-old baby Callum woke up from his nap, she carried him through the rest of the choreography. (A budding dancer, maybe?)

So, how did Jenna get those fab abs? Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Jenna would work out regularly with her trainer Jennifer "JJ Dancer" Johnson for 45-minute sessions, she told Women's Health in 2018.

"[Jenna is like,] 'Let’s go hard or go home!'" JJ told the publication. "She is a beast." One of their signature hip-hop inspired moves is called the Jenna Squat. "It’s a little fun, a little sexy, and a lot hard," Jenna explained.

Aside from her dance workouts, Jenna's all about strength training, she told Women's Health. "I want to build muscle, so I can pick up my daughter," she said. "Before, it used to be like, 'I wanna get long, lean muscles.' Now, I’m just like, 'I wanna feel strong and good.'" (To combine dance and strength training, she would sometimes dance an entire routine in a squat position.)

She also likes Pilates, which Jenna told Well+Good "has really strengthened and toned by body in a way that makes me feel stronger than when I was dancing for ten hours a day. I also like cardio yoga."

As for her diet, Jenna starts her day with a smoothie made from spinach, romaine, celery, apple, and pear, enjoys a plant-based grain bowl for lunch (think: quinoa, black beans, tomatoes, cucumber, and heart of palm) and gluten-free pasta or tabbouleh for dinner.
