Watch What Happened When This Guy Worked Out for 24 Hours Straight

YouTuber Stan Browney, a.k.a. Browney, is known for his extreme fitness challenges. His previous feats and fitness experiments include doing 333 pushups for 30 days, the Bring Sally Up Challenge, and 1,000 situps in a single hour. So it's no surprise that in his latest challenge, he took it to another level. His goal: to work out for 24 hours straight.

Browney enlists a friend to take on the day-long event. Each hour, he and a friend will complete a specific fitness challenge. (Although they don't have any clocks or watches, they will do their best to guesstimate.)

"We can't leave. We can't sleep. We blinded all outside light. We don't know the time," he says. (Of course, you should not do this at home. You should never skip sleep.) They brought food, water, and some changes of clothes to get started at 3 p.m. the day of the challenge.

The first hour, the challenge is to burn 20 calories as fast as he can on an airbike. Browney crushes it in 16 seconds, and for the rest of the hour works on calisthenics. Challenge 2 is the Magic Pushup, where the guys use a broom stick elevated on weight plates. They work out until Challenge 3, which is to do the most pullups in 30 seconds. (Browney knocks out 24.) For Challenge 4, they test their vertical leap, attempting to grab a high bar with one arm and hang. After a bunch of tries, Browney achieves it.

The next hour, they fuel with pasta while walking on a treadmill. Challenge 5 is the most pushups in 30 seconds (Browney does 58.) After another hour of working out, they hit Challenge 6: a game of Jenga while holding a plank. Another hour of working out, and then Challenge 7: the Impossible Pullup. Another hour of working out, then they hit Challenge 8: to do the most side-to-side hops in 30 seconds. They work out for another hour, then Move to Challenge 9: a no-hands pushup.

They fuel some more with protein bars before Challenge 10: a Magic Pullup... but neither guy can accomplish it. They pass another hour working out, then do squats for Challenge 11. For Challenge 12, they do Tandem Pushups, and crush 20 reps.

They're halfway through, and they don't feel too tired. But to wake them up a bit more, Challenge 13 is a Cold Shower Challenge. After some ab and hula hoop work, they get to Challenge 14: a Transfer Hoodie Hang, where they swap a hoodie while doing a dead hang. Between the next hour, they whip up some banana crepes ("we came prepared," notes Browney), before Challenge 15: the Impossible Squat Hold. For Challenge 16, they attempt a Magic Water Bottle Pushup, where they stack three water bottles together.

Finally, the pair starts to hit a wall. "I'm so tired, I could fall asleep while doing a pushup," says Browney.

Challenge 17 is a 100-Second Hang, and the guys are clearly struggling. For breakfast, Browney heats up more pasta, and keeps working out. He grabs a massage gun to help get some circulation to his muscles (where he nods off for a bit) before Challenge 18, a Long Jump Cup Jump, followed by another hour of working out. Challenge 19 is another Impossible Pushup, which they muster through. Challenge 20 is a fail, however. They attempt a No-Hands Pullup, but both the guys fail to get 10 reps. After another hour, they do Challenge 21, where they do the most side-to-side pushups as possible in 1 minute.

To keep themselves entertained after another hour of working out, Challenge 22 is a Pullup Trick Shot, where they do a pullup and attempt to score a goal on a basketball hoop. (And Browney totally nails it.) Another hour of working out, and they are on Challenge 23, a Board Break where they punch out wooden boards. They workout some more to kill time.

Finally, they come to Challenge 24, a final Pushup Challenge. And then they have just one hour to go, but the struggle is real.

"I want to sleep so bad," says Browney.

But finally, they come to the end. After the last challenge, they find out that they were only off on their time estimate by around 40 minutes. They calculate that they burned 7,000 calories or more.

"We're going to go to bed," Browney says as he signs off.
