Watch This Girl Curl Her Hair with Fidget Spinners
Remember the “100 layers of” challenges that took the Internet by storm? (Refresher: beauty bloggers coated themselves in 100 layers of their favorite cosmetics.) Well, here’s something new for you: YouTuber grav3yardgirl put 100 glow-in-the-dark fidget spinners to the test to see if they could curl her hair. The result is surprisingly not terrible.
The fidget spinners are the latest addition to her “Can It Curl?” series, in which she tests how well different items work in terms of curling her hair. The Internet personality with over 8 million subscribers gave in to viewer pressure to create curls with the newest fad for fidgeters, which she admits she’s obsessed with. But that doesn’t mean she’d necessarily recommend you put 100 fidget spinners in your own hair.
“This definitely falls under the category of things you see on the Internet that you should not do under any circumstances,” she warns in the video.
With the weight of the plastic toys considered, you can imagine how heavy her head began to feel. However, she says that putting the spinners in her hair proved easier than the Starbucks cups she’s previously tried.
The YouTuber didn’t reply to Yahoo Beauty’s request for a comment, but we figure she has a lot of fun with the whacky series, where she’s tested the curl-factor of everything from tampons to Barbie dolls, and even Cheetos – which she mentions gave her the best curls to date.
The fidget spinner curls were ultimately ranked second best in her series thus far. So, if your curling iron is ever misplaced, you’re not out of luck.
