The news anchor goes on to announce that a "group of armed extremists, the Nasty Lads — they've taken hostages at a Miss Meat lunchatorium downtown." Dinklage's Toxic Avenger character is then introduced as the vigilante takes matters into his own hands. The film fallows Winston as he plans to rob his company after his employers refused to cover healthcare for his terminal illness. In his attempt, he falls into a toxic waste where he sustains injuries and later supernatural strength.
