PHILADELPHIA EAGLES:
What you need to know

Who and when are they playing?
The Eagles welcome the Minnesota Vikings to Lincoln Financial Field at 6:40 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Who’s favored?
The Eagles hold the No. 1 seed and a much-needed home-field advantage, but they’re a slight underdog this weekend. That’s because the guy who got the Eagles this far, Carson Wentz, won’t be suiting up, victim of a season-ending injury that puts backup Nick Foles in the driver’s seat.

What will Nick Foles do?
Despite the monumental tide of grief poured on Foles, he managed to steer the Eagles past the Atlanta Falcons last week. But the Vikings represent a much tougher challenge. The Vikings possess the league’s top defense and scoring defense, and they’ve already taken down an all-time quarterback in Drew Brees. (Yes, it took a miracle to beat Brees, but still.) The Vikings will see what worked against Foles in the first half of the Falcons game and crank up the heat a few hundred degrees higher.

What do the numbers say?
If you’re looking for omens, here’s a good one: Philadelphia is 3-0 against Minnesota. Beyond that, a number of Philadelphia’s best numbers came with Wentz at the helm; for instance, Alshon Jeffrey, Nelson Agholor, and Zach Ertz were the only trio of teammates in the NFL to notch at least eight touchdowns apiece. But the Eagles did lead the NFC in turnover differential at +11, and led the league in rush defense. Minnesota will have a fight on its hands.
