Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Yank Out a Massive, Buried Blackhead
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a large, stubborn dilated pore of Winer.
The patient featured in the video is particularly nervous about the procedure, which gives Dr. Lee a chance to show off her impressive bedside manner.
A dilated pore of Winer is essentially a large blackhead compacted in a single enlarged pore.
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—removes a large, super stubborn dilated pore of Winer deeply buried in a patient's skin. The growth is seriously stuck, forcing Dr. Lee to put up a fight—and calm the particularly nervous patient at the same time.
In the clip, the patient is clearly nervous, even singing at one point to help down out any sounds. Dr. Lee’s impressive bedside manner is on full display, with the derm checking in with the patient ever step of the way.
“Think happy thoughts here,” Dr. Lee tells the nervous patient. “Think happy thoughts.”
To begin the procedure, Dr. Lee makes a small incision to give the dilated pore of Winer an avenue of escape. She then uses a comedone extractor to tease the dilated pore of Winer out—but it’s a stubborn one. The famed dermatologist soon switches to a pair of tweezers to yank and pull the growth free.
“That was a tough one!” one fan commented.
A dilated pore of Winer is essentially a large blackhead compacted in a single enlarged pore surrounded by normal skin. This means the large crater left behind by the main extraction in this video is actually a single pore that has been stretched from the contents gathering inside.
