In a new Instagram video posted Wednesday, dermatologist and TLC star Dr. Sandra Lee, MD-aka Dr. Pimple Popper-removes milia from a patient's eyelid. Using her scissors, she snips the tiny growths off the man's skin.
"He can see clearly now, the #milia is gone!" she wrote in the caption.
What are milia?
Milia are small white cysts commonly found on the face, according to Healthline-including on the eyelids, as we can see in Dr. Pimple Popper's latest video. Milia look like small white or yellow bumps, and they form when a protein called keratin gets trapped under the skin.
Milia sometimes disappear on their own, but if not, there are various treatment options available.
