  • In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper pops a precariously placed ear blackhead.

  • The growth looks like it's made of caramel due to its tan hue and sticky consistency.

In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pops a pretty sweet ear blackhead that looks like it’s made of caramel. Pretty sweet indeed. Get it?

The clip is entitled “Ear’s a short but sweet one,” so you know it’s going to be a good time. In the video, Dr. Lee nicks the blackhead to help give the compacted contents a larger hole to escape from. She then pushes down on the area with a comedone extractor to effectively “pop” the precariously placed blackhead out of its home. What comes out is a caramel-colored delight. And it's quite large.

“Look at that,” Dr. Lee says, showing the contents to the patient. “Oh my god,” the man responds, clearly in shock. Dr. Lee then asks, “You wanna keep it?” The man has a quick, simple answer for that inquiry: “Um, no.”

A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black "head" when exposed to air. The contents under the surface can range in color from white to black (with a tanish-brown being somewhere in the middle) depending on how much oxygen has reached the compacted material.
