Watch the Bollinger B1 electric SUV venture off-road in Ouray and Moab

Since its unveiling, Bollinger Motors has been busy testing its B1 all-electric sport utility truck in a number of challenging environments. First, we saw the 360-horsepower EVtackling a track. Next, Bollinger shared video of the off-roader driving over fallen trees in the woods. Now, the New York-based company has taken its EV out west to tackle trails in Colorado and Utah.

The most recent video, seen above, was shot at the harrowing Engineer Pass, part of the Alpine Loop near Ouray, Colo. The trail reaches an elevation of 12,800 feet, taking the B1 across rocks, snow and water. Frankly, it looks like a lot of fun, and the B1 appears to have no troubles on the rugged terrain.

In addition to that video, Bollinger posted two short clips from Utah a couple weeks ago. The first is the B1 climbing a hill at Moab's Fins 'n' Things Trail:

Also in Utah, Bollinger filmed the B1 playing in the sand:

.embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }

The videos showcase the capability of the B1, which has an adjustable ride height, disconnecting anti-roll bars and big BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. Bollinger says it already has more 10,000 reservations for the B1, which will be built here in the United States. Pricing has yet to be released.
