Watch: Bills' long snapper Reid Ferguson shows off his ridiculous accuracy

The reality of life for some players on an NFL roster is this: no one really knows who you are until you start making mistakes.

That’s true for most long snappers, who have a very specific skill, but often are largely anonymous.

But in case you wonder what it takes to be an NFL long snapper, let the Buffalo Bills’ Reid Ferguson show you.

Trick-shot master

Undrafted out of LSU in 2016 and the Bills’ snapper in 2017 after splitting his rookie season between the street and practice squad, Ferguson tweeted over the weekend that he was in Orange Beach without punter (and holder) Colton Schmidt, so he had to “find some other ways to get some snaps in.”

What that led to was pretty creative. Watch:

The short video shows three amazing snaps: first Ferguson knocks a can off a picnic table, then he snaps a frisbee out of the air (that’s the most impressive one in our opinion, because it’s a moving target), then he finds a friend brave enough to kneel some yards away with a can on top of his head and drills the can off the friend’s head.

So if you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Big deal, I could be a long snapper,” try one of these in your yard. We’re guessing you’ll find out how wrong you are.
