Watch 51-Year-Old Shannon Sharpe Crush a Home Workout That Would Demolish You

From Men's Health

NFL Hall of Famer and three-time Super Bowl winner Shannon Sharpe is in incredible shape. At 51 (he'll be 52 on June 26), he's never stopped training his body. Now the cohost of Fox Sports One's Skip and Shannon: Undisputed and a TV personality, Sharpe shares highlights from his most intense sessions with his fans, including his bench press workout.

Unsurprisingly, Sharpe is not sleeping on his fitness routine in quarantine. He shared his entire home workout on Undisputed's YouTube channel, and challenged his followers to get through it. To motivate his audience, Sharpe shared his outlook on fitness and the mindset he takes on when he runs through his workouts.

"When I'm done with this exercise, I'm not gonna say, 'Man I wish I could have done five more reps, or I could've done this.'" he says. "If you can do that, you didn't work hard enough. You should empty the tank," he says in the start of the video. "You should feel like you ate your lungs, your heart is just pounding through your chest."

He shows off his home gym setup, which is outside on his driveway, and includes an airbike, box, rowing machine, and various dumbbells, medicine balls, kettlebells, and mats.

"You see my setup, I'm trying to cut down on the transition time, so I'll actually be working instead of trying to look for equipment," he says.

He gets to his workout, a total of 4 rounds for 40 minutes of work.

"Just because you do something over and over doesn't mean you're working hard," Sharpe says at the end of his workout. "A lot of people go to the gym out of habit. But are you working hard?"

He says he has a simple way to know if you truly are giving your all.

"This is how you know if you're training: if you don't ask yourself 'Why am I doing this? When is this (bleep) over? How much longer do I have? What am I doing it for? How much longer must I do this?' You're working out, you're not training. Because every time I do this I question myself, 'How much longer?' And as you can see, I don't short change it."

And his fans know he's preaching the truth.

"This man is almost 52 years old with the body of a 25 year old," one YouTuber commented.
