WATCH: These 3 Fixer Upper Houses Can’t Seem to Sell

Despite stellar name recognition and a devoted cult following, the Waco homes transformed by Fixer Upper power couple Chip and Joanna Gaines have proven notoriously difficult to sell.

As real estate agent Kristin Clements explained to Insider, it has nothing to do with the design of the homes, which are indisputably beautiful. It’s that the houses are priced far and beyond Waco’s humble median listing price of $200,000.

The Gaineses renovated dozens of properties throughout Fixer Upper’s five-series run, and many of them have ended up on the market. And even though they’ve left HGTV behind for bigger things, their shiplap-alicious homes will linger on.. and on, and on.

As House Beautiful points out, there are currently three Fixer Upper homes that have been sitting on the market for an extended period of time: the Faceless Bunker, Paw Paw's House, and the Asian Ranch House.

Paw Paw’s House

Coming in at an eye-watering $1,450,000, Paw Paw’s House is easily the most expensive of the three. Featured in episode seven of season three, this three-bedroom, three-bath home underwent a $250,000 renovation. This sprawling Southwestern-themed ranch sits on 210 acres just outside of Waco.

This 4,235-square-foot home was first listed in April for $739,900, though its currently on the market for $679,900. Even though it’s gotten a ton of views, Clements, who is the listing agent, says that it hasn’t translated into showings.

"In this case, it’s kind of been different because people are looking at it just because it has a 'Fixer Upper' name on it, not because they can actually afford it," Clements told Insider.

Arguably the home with the least curb appeal, the Faceless Bunker makes up for its unique exterior in other ways. This 4,113-square-foot four-bedroom house with views of Lake Waco has been on the market since February 2018 and has had its price chopped from $1,265,000 to its current $899,000.
