Washington State QB Luke Falk sets Pac-12 TD pass record vs. Utah
Washington State quarterback Luke Falk is now the owner of every major career passing record in Pac-12 history.
Falk threw the 117th touchdown pass of his career in the first half of Saturday’s game vs. Utah. His second TD pass of the day broke a tie with former USC QB Matt Barkley at the top of the career rankings and came on a 1-yard pass to Kyle Sweet.
A week ago in a win vs. Stanford, Falk set the conference career record for passing yards. He also has the career conference records for completions, attempts and completion percentage. Not bad for a kid who walked on to Washington State.
And also unsurprising for a quarterback who plays for Washington State coach Mike Leach.
Leach’s Texas Tech quarterbacks routinely set passing records before he came to the Cougars and Falk’s career success has come over the span of four years. He’s thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the past two seasons and is likely to do so for a third-straight season.
