The Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect pillow by putting popular styles to the test, including down, down alternative, memory foam, hybrid, latex, and cooling pillows. Over 350 testers nationwide tried out pillows that matched their preferences (sleeping position and desired fill) and reported on the pillow's comfort, support, and much more. From tester feedback and lab evaluations, we had 3,218 data points to analyze!
Once your child reaches the toddler stage of at least 18 months old, they are finally old enough to enjoy the comfort of a supportive pillow. Pillows made specifically for toddlers are smaller, hypoallergenic, and are more firm than fluffy, for the perfect balance of support and comfort. It is important to note that your baby should never sleep with a pillow in their crib and these options are for children who are at least 18 months old and are able to sleep in a toddler bed safely.
Your sleeping position is the most important factor to consider when choosing a pillow. Back sleepers will require a different pillow than stomach and side sleepers, but if you switch positions all night – don’t fret! The Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab is comprised of experts who test products for your best sleep ever.
Best. Sleep. Ever.
Beauty sleep has never looked—or felt—so good.
If you overheat at night, chances are your sleep quality isn't great. In fact, it's nearly impossible to have a restful sleep if you're dealing with night sweats. The good news is that whether you suffer from hot flashes or are sweating in warm temperatures, cooling mattresses – along with other cooling bedding like sheets, pillows and blankets – can help you comfortably catch some ZZZs.
There are lots of things to consider when you buy bed sheets: Are they strong? While percale and linen sheets usually feel more crisp, like hotel sheets, they’re not ideal if you’re looking for the softest sheets. Flannel: The surface of flannel fabric is brushed so it traps in air to keep you warm, but that process also makes it feel soft and cozy.
Thanks for looking out, Walmart!
