Want to Drive Like a Royal? Prince William and Kate Middleton's Range Rover Is Being Sold at an Auction

The royals have always traveled in style and now, some lucky buyer will get a taste of that luxury.

An L405 Range Rover that used to be in Prince William and Kate Middleton's private collection will be auctioned off in Oxfordshire, England next month courtesy of Bonhams. The Baltic Blue Vogue SE was acquired by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2013, and this will be a rare opportunity for shoppers to purchase a vehicle formerly owned by the royals (as long as they have around 50,000 dollars in the bank).

According to the official release from Bonhams, the car was supplied to Prince William and Kate Middleton by the Land Rover VIP Department, and the two were seen with the car during their visit to Perthshire in May of 2014. The specific model being sold is one that has been favored by the royal family, and is still used by them today.

The royal set of wheels is expected to sell for around 30k-40k euros (or 42k-56k dollars). As one might expect, the vehicle is in terrific condition and comes fully equipped with a number of special features, including heated front & rear seats, Meridian sound system, front & rear parking sensors (with reversing camera) and a drinks fridge.

While the car was not heavily used by the couple (its mileage sits at 38,420 miles), this is a unique case where it can be easily tracked to its regal roots. Bonhams says, "Usually, Land Rovers and Range Rovers used by the Royal Household have the vehicle registration numbers changed once out of service, making it difficult to confirm their famous history. This example is a rare exception to this."
