Ah, the twitter gaffe—the modern man’s “Did Iiiiiiii do that?”

On Wednesday morning, Walmart had a surprising response to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) saying he will object to Congress’s counting of the Electoral College vote. “Go ahead. Get your 2 hour debate. #soreloser” tweeted the retailer. It’s a pretty bold stance for the Bentonville, Arkansas based-company to take, especially considering Walmart president and CEO Doug McMillon is an advisor to President Trump (per Forbes, members of the Walton family have supported both Republicans and Democrats over the years).

For the sake of preservation, Keith Edwards, senior digital advisor for the John Ossoff Senate campaign, screenshotted the tweet and added his own caption. “This will certainly be deleted. But for a brief moment in time, Walmart was in The Resistance.” He then added, “As someone who has managed multiple high profile accounts, this is my greatest fear.”

Clearly what happened here is the poor kid who runs Wal-Mart’s Twitter account forgot to log out before posting his or her real reaction to the Hawley news. And you thought you were having a bad day at work. Hopefully, CEO Doug McMillon will find it in his heart to forgive the kid for saying what everyone else is thinking.
