'Walking Dead' leaves fans with more questions than answers

The Walking Dead has left fans with a lot of questions this week. What’s the deal with that helicopter and why was Jadis trying to signal it? Who’s really the bad guy, Rick or Negan? And who did Negan pick up? You may remember in episode five of this season, Rick was on his way to the Heap when a helicopter flew overhead. In this episode, the helicopter comes to the Heap and Jadis tries furiously to signal it with a flare after the flare she already had lit fell into a puddle during a struggle with Negan.

Speaking of Negan, he actually came across as a decent human being this episode. He took responsibility and apologized to Jadis for Simon slaughtering her people. “I wouldn’t have killed all your people,” Negan said. “That was the work of someone not following the program. But this is my mistake. I’ll own this. I took a chance on someone. Thought I was doing the right thing, and all I did was punch myself in the d*ck. I am sorry for this. I really am. I'm sorry that you lost all you had.”

Rick on the other hand, while he and Morgan were being held captive by the Saviors who had escaped the Hilltop, gave them his word that they could come back and live at the Hilltop if they let him and Morgan go. Rick said, “I’m giving you my word. There’s not a lot that’s worth much these days, but a man’s word has got to mean something, right?” Wrong. While a herd of walkers attacked the group, the Saviors let Rick and Morgan go. It wasn’t long before Rick and Morgan began killing every one of them. Rick even admitted to lying before putting a bullet in the head of one.

Finally, Negan had convinced Jadis to let him go and was on his way back to the Sanctuary when he pulled over to the side of the road, opened the passenger door and told someone to get in. Viewers never see who he was talking to, not even when he gets to the Sanctuary. Some fans think its Gregory. Others think it’s Laura. But until next week, it’s all just speculation.
