You don't need to be a practitioner of the small science to be done with Shadow and Bone season 2 and eager to know if the show is returning for another season. Come to me for information about Shadow and Bone season 3. Whether you're a crows girlie, love the Darkling, or love to hate him, we're gonna get through this together.

If you're like me, Shadow and Bone is one of those shows that you absolutely tear through the second it hits Netflix. I need to know what happens next. I get totally immersed in Ravka and the world of the Grisha. The costumes, braids, and magic are so lush! And don't get me started on my many OTPs. So what if I spend more time yelling "KISSSSSS" at the characters on my screen with all their yearning than learning about the politics of this fantasy world? Shadow and Bone sucks you in one way or another.

Is Shadow & Bone getting another season?

Sadly, Shadow & Bone has officially been canceled along with a number of other series on Netflix. The streamer made the decision a week after the Hollywood strikes came to an end, according to Deadline.

What would've happened in Shadow & Bone season 3?

So, the first two seasons more or less cover the events of the three Shadow & Bone books. If it weren't for the way Season 2 ends I'd say they could pack it up. However, not everything from the trilogy makes it into the show. There's definitely more story to tell. Plus, author Leigh Bardugo has other books in the Grishaverse. There are the two Six of Crow books. They are all about characters we've met and love on the Netflix series: Kaz, Jesper, Inej, Nina, Wylan, and Matthias. According to Entertainment Weekly, a spin-off Six of Crows series is potentially happening, although, no word on how the cancelation would affect this.

There are also two books called King of Scars and Rule of Wolves. They center around a character we meet in Season 2 of the Netflix series, Nikolai Lantsov. Nina appears in those books as well, as do Genya, David, and Zoya from the Shadow & Bone books. So there are plenty of ways for the story to continue.
